What I like most about the Magic Mérida house is the neighborhood and surrounding area.  It is quiet, family-friendly, and pet friendly.

Close to the house is a park called Alemán Park.  It is about a 10-minute walk from the house.

It is a great place to take your dog!

Alemán Park is a very nice park with a big grassy area, large shade trees, and wide sidewalks. The park has exercise stations that are very popular in the mornings.

We took our two dogs, Olivia and Sofia, to Áleman Park every morning. Sofia loves to play frisbee and Olivia loves to smell everything!

The park has a tiny amusement park with rides for small children.

This amusement park area comes to life in the evenings after the sun goes down and the parents are home from work.

In the evenings there are several street vendors with food carts.

We were there in December and Santa Clause made an appearance.

There were other planned activities for children. It was a nice family-friendly atmosphere.

In the mornings we like to go for breakfast at one of the restaurants across the street from the park.

All the restaurants around the park have open-air seating and are pet friendly.

Next to the park is a mid-size grocery store – Super AKI – with most everything one would need.

There is a traditional mercado, carneceria plus fresh produce market around the corner from the park.

There is a wide range of restaurants in this neighborhood – from Chinese food to Japanese sushi to a French bakery.

This is a large 3-bedroom house with lots of natural light and ceiling fans in every room.

Each bedroom has an air conditioner. The bed in the master bedroom is very comfortable.

The living room dining room area is spacious. Lots of room to spread out.

The kitchen is closed off from the rest of the house and is tiny. It is still functional, but not a place to cook a large meal in.

The entire house and garage are surrounded by a nice 7’ wrought iron fence. Very typical of Mexican homes.

This makes it ideal for keeping the front door open and not worrying about the dogs getting out.

The front yard has some green space with plants.

There is a backyard that is all concrete, no grass.

If you are going to be in Mérida for at least a few weeks and have dogs, I recommend staying here.

Your dogs will love it and so will you!
